Can I reserve library spaces or computers?

Answer

Most library spaces have first come first serve policies and non-reservable, but there are occasional exceptions. See below for details.

BOISE LIBRARY

Most Boise library spaces (tables, chairs, green space, common areas) remain first come first served and are not reservable.

Library computers may be reserved under certain circumstances. Reservations are limited to the following conditions:

  • Other designated health system spaces (hotel spaces, meeting rooms, temporary laptops) must be exhausted first.
  • Reservations must take place during staffed hours (8am-4:30pm)
  • No more than 3 computers can be reserved at one time (this includes all reservations booked on that day)
  • Reservations are limited to one day per month per person
  • Reservations are limited to no more than 3 consecutive hours
  • Those using the computers must have a valid St. Luke's login - if they do not, please contact the library before placing the request

To place a request to reserve a computer in the Boise Library, complete this form and we will let you know if we can accommodate your request!

MAGIC VALLEY LIBRARY

All Magic Valley library spaces & computers remain first come first served, and we are unable to accommodate reservation requests for this location.

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS

These should be exhausted before reserving a library space and consist of hotel spaces, meeting rooms, and sometimes temporary laptops issued by IHT.

"Hotel" spaces consist of reservable computer workstations and/or rooms; these exist in the Boise Medical Center as well as various other facilities like St. Luke's Plaza. There are documents on the Source detailing the locations & reservation process:

Hotel Map: RCO Hotel Space Map.xlsx

Hotel Space Reservation Process: Hotel Space - SLP2 Reservation Process.docx

Meeting Rooms: There are reservable meeting rooms all over the Boise Medical Center and other sites. Lists of meeting rooms by location can be found on the Source: Meeting Technologies - Maps to Conference Rooms - All Documents

You can also view the available meeting rooms by location by going into Outlook, selecting "New Meeting" then clicking "Rooms". Select your location to browse the rooms in that area.
